white noise

today, i would like to thank my nephew Liam and his aunt Marjory (to whom i apologize if i have misspelled her name)

In the pursuit of putting Liam down for a nap, Aunt Marjory graciously waited for me to download a cd called "White Noise." Liam usually goes to sleep with some sort of nosie in the background, white noise, fans, etc., so we hoped this would prove helpful for the lad. And it was. He slept.

Astoundingly, I have found this track to be highly beneficial for studying! It drowns out the noise surrounding me (currently the chatter of colleagues and professors), and yet isn't as distracting as music. I barely noticed it, other than a heightened sense of concentration.
