Chat

I just wanted to take a moment to sing the praises of UMD's financial "chat." I had to take a loan out for this semester and have had quite the debacle getting all my ducks in a row to make sure the loan went through.
To help me negotiate all these twists and turns, UMD's financial office has been incredibly helpful. I particularly enjoy the online "chatting" - basically IMing with a financial counselor. This takes the hassle out of waiting for emails and also is easier than waiting on the phone and asking questions in person - only to forget the answers later. Now i can have the chat transcript emailed directly to me and have a complete record of the conversation.
